BMW Body & Paint Center in Garching

On an area of 41,000 sq m, a centre for prototype vechicles, a chassis and paint shop, and a car park (parking deck) for the VIP fleet was constructed.
It opened in August 2006.
Owing to investments of the BMW Group (42 million Euro) in Garching, about 200 new jobs were created.
Garching is already home to the sports car subsidiary BMW M GmbH, BMW Wheel and Tire Centre (Räder- und Reifenzentrum) and the distributing warehouse for new vehicles.
